More detail on this person: USAF LT COL (RET) Vincent A. Ziccardi, 87, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Rockledge, FL. Born on August 16, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, and raised on Union Street in Burlington, NJ, Vincent dedicated his life to his family and country, serving 26 years in both the United States Navy (USN) and United States Air Force (USAF). After retiring from the military, Vincent worked at Harris Corporation (GASD) for 8 years. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marian (Gilbert) Ziccardi; children, John (Tammy), Antonio, Vincent Jr. (Evelyn) and Teresa (Kim); and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni M. Ziccardi and Giovanna (Pezzuro) Ziccardi. A graduate of Wilbur Watts High School in Burlington, NJ, Vincent went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Ryder College in Lawrenceville, NJ,and an MBA from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Vincent was committed to his family and his military brethren and constantly supported each. He was also very proud of his Italian roots and heritage. Vincent's passions included dancing with Marian, playing cards, softball and fishing with his grandkids. Hobbies that brought joy not only to him but to all who knew him. His service to his country was characterized by a steadfast commitment to his roles in the USN and USAF, embodying the values of both services throughout his career. A service honoring his life will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Tunnel to Towers or St Jude's Hospital, charities that Vincent supported throughout his life.
