Arthur Willcox, US Army (Ret), passed away on
Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the age of 83. For
over 25 years, he proudly served his country in
the US Army MSC as one of the first Helicopter
Ambulance Pioneer, known as the Solopilot in
Korea and then as one of the first Dustoff pilots
in Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his beloved
wife, Marguerite A. Willcox and is survived by
their children: William A. Willcox Jr. and wife,
Belinda (Buda, TX); Linda Holt and husband, Tim
(Spring Branch, TX) and Kevin Willcox and wife,
Becky (San Antonio, TX); grandchildren: Shannon,
Kevin, Trace, Caitlin, Kelley and Courtney;
great-grandchildren: Skip William Holt and Fiona
Holt. Bill's life made a lasting impact on his
family and on the people who knew him. He will be
remembered as an extremely intelligent, highly
energetic individual and devoted to his family. He
was an exceptional man who touched the lives of
all who knew him. The family would like to give a
special thanks to Becky Huerta for her many years
of love, care and devotion to their dad.
Interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
with full military honors. Entrance gates for
guests attending the service are from Harry
Wurzbach or Walters Road to obtain a pass. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
