More detail on this person: Major Anthony Ludington ("Major") Wotkyns Major Anthony Ludington ("Major") Wotkyns, USA Retired, passed away on December 7, 2013 at this home in Corona de Tucson, AZ. He was born in Pasadena, CA on July 20, 1938. In his 23 years of service (USN & USA) he was the recipient of Two Purple Heart Medals, The Bronze Star Medal, The Legion of Merit Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, The Air Medal with Forty-Eight Oak Leaf Cluster, The DFC Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, to name a few. Major Wotkyns was preceded in death by his parents Grosvenor Eliot & Elizabeth Scott, brothers Marshall Eliot, Robert Jackson & Andrew Graves. He is survived by his older brother Grosvenor Scott & wife Threasa Antoinette, sisters Katharine Graves & husband Edward Gonzales and Elizabeth Armstrong & husband Enrique Montes, and numerous nieces and nephews. Major was adventurous and inquisitive, and had many hobbies and interests including history, trains, and traveling. He was a skilled marksman and loved to garden. He enjoyed music, fine dining, spicy food, and good spirits. Not only will he be missed by his family, but also his friends who enjoyed camping, 4 wheeling and trips to Rocky Point with him. A military memorial will take place on January 17, 2014 at 1pm at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
