More detail on this person: My Dad recently
passed away, he was a helicopter gunship pilot in
Vietnam: '68 and '70. I am his only son and was
born at Fort Rucker in 1969. He was in the 101st
for 12 years. I am trying to see if there is
anyone who might've known him or at a minimum -
just find someone representing his old unit and
let them know of his passing. He was an excellent
soldier but he never talked with me much about the
war. I'm so sad at his passing for so many
reasons but also because I know so little of that
time in his life. It made him so much of the man
he was. Other than the years of being in-country
I only have his call sign: Black Angel 21 and I
know he flew gunships mostly but said his favorite
was the Loach (sp?). Anyway, his name is Clyde
O. Wilburn (Pete). I don't know if there's
anything you can do to help me - he said most of
his friends died in Vietnam so I doubt there is
anyone left. This information was last updated 05/18/2016
