More detail on this person: Met our Lord and Savior on Monday, May 7, 2012. He was 63 years old, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Sunshine, LA. Dalton served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot in the 1st Aviator Brigade in Vietnam. He worked as an insulator with Asbestos Workers Local 53 traveling around the United States. With the help of the 12 Step Program, he enjoyed sobriety for over 14 years. He loved to travel, read books, and play chess and dominoes. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Friday, May 11, 2012 at 5 p.m. until memorial service at 7 p.m. conducted by Rev. Tom Labot. Survived by his wife, Mary; mother, Pat Willis; father, Wilmer Willis and wife, Violet; three daughters: Elizabeth Willis, Theresa Johnson and husband, Shane, Cristi Guillory and husband, Mickey; one son, Jessie Willis and wife, Erin; five stepsons: Tim Spillman, Brad Spillman, Doug Gallagher and wife, Leslie, Scott Gallagher and wife, Adrianne, and Michael Knapps; one sister, Sheila Sutton; two brothers: Tom Willis and wife, Dava, and Michael Willis and wife, Sylvia; a half-brother, Joseph Willis; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
