More detail on this person: Richard C. Winesette was the 191st Avn Co commanding officer when it was activated at FT Bragg. He did not deploy with the unit when it shipped out because he had terminal lung cancer. I remember someone telling me a story about the CO's son stopping by our unit in Vietnam to visit. I also spoke with a family member and verified this information.

His son was Richard G. Winesette who served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and is now also deceased.
