More detail on this person: Green Valley, AZ (formerly of Kiel, WI) - Dr. Wayne E. Wall, age 80 of Green Valley, AZ (formerly Kiel, WI) passed away June 1, 2018 in Bloomington, MN after a long battle with heart and kidney disease. He and his wife of 40 years, JoAnne, had just returned from a once in a lifetime trip to Normandy France. Wayne was born December 7, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from high school in Bottineau, N.D. From there he went to college at North Dakota State University where he played football with the North Dakota State Bisons. He then served in the Army as a helicopter pilot. He graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1967 and joined the practice of Drs. Imig and Meyer in Sheboygan. He cared for patients in both Sheboygan and Kiel for the next forty-eight years until retirement in 2014. He always said, "I never worked a day in my life" because he loved his profession and the citizens he served. After retirement JoAnne and Wayne spent time traveling and enjoyed time with friends and family in Wisconsin and Arizona. Wayne also had a passion for bird hunting with his dog, fishing in Canada with his closest friends, and golfing with anyone who wanted to join in (Branch River members). Wayne loved life and lived it well. Wayne is preceded in death by parents, Ingval and Velma Wall and brother Gary (Loretta) Wall. He is survived by wife, JoAnne, daughters, JoLea (Kevin) Baker, Sandra Hamilton, Julie (Greg) Keating, Michelle (Eric) Brown, and Samantha (Bruce) Mohns. He had ten grandchildren, Ryan, Tony and Stephen Hamilton, Jackie and Noah Keating, Brayden and Ethan Brown, and Bridgette, Claudia and Avery Mohns; nephews, Scott, Andre, Jeremy and Jason Wall; and niece, Heidi. Services are planned for Thursday, June 7th at First United Lutheran Church, 2401 Kohler Memorial Dr., Sheboygan. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to Veterans VFW, Disabled Veterans or the American Heart Association.
