More detail on this person: Harry William Walker, 82 of Worden, Illinois passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. Born November 14, 1934 in Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Harry Edward Walker. He married Karen M. Andersen on August 8, 1959 in Granite City, Illinois and she survives. He worked as a Helicopter Pilot in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years during the Vietnam War and served two terms as a Search & Rescue Pilot. He later became a Plant Protection Officer at Lockheed Martin. He is survived by his wife, Karen M. Walker of Worden, IL; 1 daughter, Zoe Hauprich of Worden, IL; 1 son, William A. Walker of California; 4 grandchildren, William M. Walker, Kathryn K. Walker, Andrew J. Hauprich, and Deidre Z. Martinez; 1 great grandson, Braulio Martinez; daughter-in-law, Rose A. Walker of Worden, IL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Harry John Walker and Kevin M. Walker. Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with Chaplain Andre D'Arden officiating. Memorials are suggested to K-9 for Warriors Fund.
