More detail on this person: WOODS, Donald E. A much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son and brother, Donald E. Woods, 72 of Sebastopol, passed away at the VA hospital in Fresno on May 12, 2015. He had been a resident of Sonoma County since 1999. Don served in the military for 21 years and was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He later retired from the U.S Postal Service. Don was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Being in the woods or on the water made him happy. He was survived by his wife of 43 years, Mini Woods of Sebastopol; sons, James Woods of Germany and Gregory Spencer of Arizona; daughter, M'liss Gaughan of Michgan; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Bessie Woods, Modesto; sisters, Suzanne Ortega, Stockton, Shirley Woods, Madera, and Sharon Woods, Modesto; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Woods; and sister, Barbara Woods. A memorial service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 30, 2015 at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, CA. Donation in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
