More detail on this person: LCDR (ret'd) Kenneth John Vote, RAN, passed away Saturday, 22 Oct 2022, in Orange Base Hospital, NSW, Australia, after a long illness. KJ Vote completed primary flight training with the USN at NAS Pensacola in 1966. He served as a UH-1H pilot attached to 9 Squadron, RAAF, at Vung Tau, Vietnam in 1968-69. He also spent time with the 135th Aviation Company (EMU's) - an Experimental Military Unit made up of personnel from the US Army and Royal Australian Navy. After retiring from the RAN, KJ Vote worked for a rescue and medical helicopter service and later as a civilian contract flight instructor for the Australian Defence Forces.
