More detail on this person: Carlton was the senior HH-43 pilot on the famous Oct. 28,1966 shoot-down of USAF HH43 Pedro 42 in area of Ia Drang valley S. Vietnam. The other pilot, Spike Bonnell, died of injuries received in this incident and the PJ as well.
