More detail on this person: CW4 Roger J. Treves, USA Ret. age 62 of Norway, Michigan, died January 28, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Roger Treves was born in Norway on October 23, 1944 the son of the late Roger and Alice (Boone) Treves, Sr.

Roger served his country in the U.S. Army for 27 years, serving 2 tours in Vietnam and in the Gulf War. He received the Bronze Star and numerous flying medals with 42 Clusters.

After retiring from the Army, Roger worked for the State Department in Germany for four years. Than later worked for PSI as a security guard for Grede Foundry and the V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

He married Hannah Olsen on August 14, 1999 in Quinnesec, Michigan.

Roger was a member of the Thomas St. Onge Chapter Vietnam Veterans #571 in Hermansville, Norvulet Post #4581, V.F.W. and Hall-DeWinter Post #145, American Legion. He was president of the Thomas St. Onge Vietnam Museum Board.

He enjoyed cutting wood, wood burning, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Roger was survived by his wife Hannah; daughters Bridget (Mike) Racine of Norway; Mary Margaret Racine of Phoenix, AZ, Tanja (Jeff) Brown of Wassilla, AK, SPC Shell (Brad) Kaminsky of New Hampshire, Sandra Titz of Germany and Theresa (Jason) Frye of Norway; sons Christopher Racine of Provincetown, MA and SSG Michael Cherette of Wausau, WI; grandchildren Donny and Brett Houle, Trinity Brown and Nicki Titz; sister Jean (Ray) Styrk of Norway; special niece Kathy Hart-Lofstrom; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Olson.
