More detail on this person: John was born on July 30, 1943 and passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017. John was a resident of Hilton Head, South Carolina at the time of passing. Following his military tenure he attended and was a graduate of Pembroke State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. As he was a longtime volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to Habitat for Humanity in his memory or to Unity Church.
