More detail on this person: Honea Path - George Frost Stumpff, 85, of 206 W. Greer St., husband of Mary Lou Stumpff, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Barry County, Mo. he was a son of the late Monroe Melvin and Clarice Hazel Frost Stumpff. He was a member of the Upstate Church of Christ of Anderson, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of 23 years, having served in the Vietnam War as a pilot. Later in life he worked as a funeral director, working with Skip White at Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville. Mr. Stumpff is survived by three sons, David Lynn Stumpff (Debra Wilder Stumpff) of Anderson, Stephen Glenn Stumpff of Warner Robbins, Ga., and James Owen Stumpff (Amy Tyner Stumpff) of Honea Path, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Dorothy Bouchard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, Missouri.
