More detail on this person: Charles Sherrell Stanley was born September 26, 1942 to N B and Ruth Stanley. He was a 1961 graduate of Biloxi High School. He was known to his family and friends as "Mickey." After graduation, Mickey enlisted in the United States Army, where he attended helicopter flight school and received numerous awards including, the Distinguished Flying Cross, as well as, the Silver Star for his service in Vietnam. He served his country well and achieved the rank of Captain. Mickey continued his helicopter flight training with the Army National Guard, before retiring from service as a Lt. Colonel. Mickey was also a charter boat Captain/deckhand for the family-owned charter boat company, Becuna Charters, which was located at the Broadwater Marina in Biloxi. Mr. Charles was also the owner of Biloxi Bonding Company. Charles Stanley passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Biloxi, MS at the age of 78. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, N B and Ruth Stanley. He is survived by his wife: Terry Miller Stanley; his children: Yvette Grayson and Ross Stanley; brother: Danny (B. J.) Stanley; sister: Sandra (Rick) Gunter; a former wife: Anne; grandchildren: Lauren, Matthew, and Erin; great-grandchildren: London, Benjamin, Riley, and Nathan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
