More detail on this person: Gentlemen, Ken Smet recently passed away (June 21) apparently as the result of a fall in his apartment in St. Petersburg, FL. Ken, Crusader 24, was with the unit from 08/68-07/69 with the 2nd platoon. You might remember, Ken and his older son, Ben hosted the 2018 reunion in St. Pete Beach, FL. He is also survived by Ben's teenage sons, Miles and Miguel who live with him and Ben's younger brother, Nick who lives in Southern California. I got the details from Ben (cc'd here), who is also my nephew as Ken was my brother-in-law. Ben said he'd be happy to talk with any of the guys about his dad, so feel free to call or email. Ben Smet 727.686.6584 (or me - contact below) Regards, Frank Crusader 99 510.684.4404 r.frank.keyser@gmail.com NOTE: Frank is Richard Frank Keyser in the VHPA database.
