More detail on this person: SAILS, Dale U.S. Army was born on April 17, 1944 in Tampa, Florida. He was the eldest child and only son of Francis and Thelma Elizabeth Sails' three children. Dale was raised in Brandon, Florida and graduated from Brandon High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a pilot from 1966 until 1969. Dale served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968 and was assigned to MAC-V SOG in which he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross among other military honors. Dale was married to Waltraud Zehrfeld in 1965 until her passing in 2019. He was a very generous and giving individual admired by all his family, friends, and neighbors. Dale is survived by his two sons, Franz (Sharon) and Clint (Valerie), and only grandson, Alexander Sails. Of note, the family would like to send a special thank you to Dale's friend, Elton; and his lovely daughter, Katie for their support over his lifetime and final days.
