Jack passed away on October 14, 2023 at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Jack was born in Pawtucket, RI on November 9, 1948. He graduated from Washington High School in Fremont California. He was enrolled at San Jose State. When he learned he was about to be drafted, he enlisted in the Army in 1968. Jack was a dual rated pilot and had an interesting career mainly in VIP units. After retiring, he flew for Comair and Eastern Metro Express Airlines where he became a Dash 8 Captain. After Eastern went out of business, and Metro pulled back to Texas, he went to work at Flight Safety as an Embraer Instructor and then King and Queen Air Instructor where many of his co-workers credit his high proficiency and professionalism. He retired from Flight Safety in 2007 after 21 years. He is survived by his ex-wife, Susan; son, John III; brothers, Kevin, Donald, and William; sister, Mary Plescia, and granddaughter, Taylor.
