More detail on this person: I'm sad to report that my Dad, Lt. Col. Paul L. Stansel passed away on March 6, 2023 at the Vermont Veterans Home.. He was 90 years old. Dad's career as an Army Aviator spanned 20 years and wars in Korea and Vietnam, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross while flying Chinooks. He retired from the Army in 1970 and began a successful career as a college professor and administrator. Dad opened a branch of Troy State University at Ft. Benning, GA and helped many other solders achieve their educational goals. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
