More detail on this person: Daniel Clayton Seely entered eternal rest on September 12, 2021, at the age 77. Dan was born on October 6, 1943 in New Orleans, La. and was a resident of Metairie La for most of his life. He graduated from Jesuit high school class of 1961 and the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a retired Sales Representative for Pulaski Furniture. A veteran of the US Army, who proudly served his country in Vietnam, as a helicopter pilot. His joys in life were shopping, buying cars, traveling and going out to dinner and the movies. Dan sang in a choir for two years which he also enjoyed. He was known for his nature and generous heart. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is the son of the late Mercedes Dugas Seely and Clayton Seely. Loving father of Heather Hyson of Florida and grandfather of Hannah Melvin. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend Adele Dierker. Special thanks to Maria Oser and Coreen Lewis for taking special care of him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial service, Nov. 13, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet, La. Visitation is 10:30 to 11:30 and service at 11:30 to 12:30 pm. Burial is at Garden of Memories Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
