More detail on this person: Jack Allen Rogers II, 79 of Arnold and Lower Burrell, died Tuesday November 16, 2021 in Bel Air Nursing Center, Lower Burrell. He was born in New Kensington on July17, 1942 to the late Jack A. and Mary Magliocco Rogers and maintained his Arnold residence his entire life. A Chemical Engineer, and member of the Arnold Class on '60, he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed by the Nuclear Power Plant in the state of Washington and as an independent contractor for Bayer Corporation. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a Pilot and Chief Warrant Officer , flying Cobra Helicopters, when he experienced a mechanical failure that afflicted him the rest of his life .A member of the Tarentum Sportsmen Club, he enjoyed Skeet and Trap Shooting, target pistol shooting, bird hunting and his dog Babe. Survivors include: his siblings: Janice (John) Yankov, Lancaster, Marlene (Patrick) Carney and Malvene (Robert) Kulik both of Lower Burrell; five nieces and two nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a niece Amanda Kulik. Memorials may be made in his name to the Veterans Administration.
