More detail on this person: Al Romaszewski was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1936 and grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey; he passed in Eagle River, Alaska on 9 Feburary 2022 at age 86. He served in the Army for twenty years, including two tours in Vietnam, retiring as a CW4 with many commendation, including Bronze Star, DFC, and Legion of Merit. He served as a pilot in both the 178th and the 132nd. His last duty station was in Alaska, and he liked it so much there that he stayed for the rest of his life, establishing a long career in real estate, from which he did not retire until age 84. His last position was with Re/Max of Eagle River. Al attended one Boxcar Reunion - Philadelphia in 1999, just across the river from his native New Jersey.
