More detail on this person: Paul E. Pressley, formerly of Clifton, Virginia, lost his long battle with heart disease on November 25, 2021 at the age of 76.Paul grew up in Vienna, Virginia and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. After leaving the service, Paul spent his career in corporate banking working on expanding branches throughout the country.Paul leaves behind his beloved wife, Maria, with whom he was married for 42 years. One of Paul's favorite things to do was travel the world with Maria, which they did as often as they could. He was a proud and loving father to his 3 daughters - Tamra (Shanti), Tina (Martin) and Michelle (Carlos). He adored his grandchildren and spent many years entertaining them with his silly jokes, his creative holiday games, scavenger hunts and beautifully written poems. He and Maria took the grandchildren on many fun trips creating wonderful lifelong memories. He found God later in life when he converted to Catholicism and that brought him much peace. He will be greatly missed, but his family is comforted knowing he is in God's hands. In a final act of selflessness, Paul donated his body to science to help study his complicated heart and other health issues with which he contended. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined. Published by The Washington Post on Dec. 7, 2021.
