More detail on this person: Lowell F. North passed away at home Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. He was born to Charles Fredrick North and Louisa Katherine Anderson on Aug. 10, 1944, in San Francisco. He married his sweetheart, "Nellie" Williams, on March 1, 1966. He served three tours for? the U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division, in Vietnam, and was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. He lived his Alaska dream for 42 years. He has left behind his wife, Nellie North; daughters Katherine Nelson and Karen Stafford; and his grandchildren, Lance Weaver, Tehya Stafford and Kayleb Stafford.
