More detail on this person: Ellie Earl Lynn, 87 of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on February 13, 2025, peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Born on April 1, 1937, in Collins, Georgia to Lovett and Elevenor Lynn. Earl was preceded in death by both parents and 5 siblings and his wife of more than 50 years Francis Imogene. He was a major in the United States Army and served for his country for 23 years. Among his achievements Major Lynn was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and The Distinguished Flying Cross Medal along with many others. After his career in the Army, Earl continued his service with owning and operating a franchise restaurant known to us as Sonny's Bar-B-Q in which he did for over 20+ years. He is survived by his son Lonnie Lynn of Baltimore, MD, 2 Brothers. Carl Lynn of Indianapolis, IN and Leeroy Lynn of Deland, Fl, 4 Grand Children, 13 great- grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Services will be held on: Wednesday February 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7-:00PM @ Dobies Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday February 20, 2025 - 12:20 PM @ Florida National Cemetery
