More detail on this person: Lake, Kenneth of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away on October 6, 2024. He was born in Fowler, CA. Ken graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton City, CA. With a strong desire to fly helicopters, Ken joined the Army in 1967. After Vietnam, Ken was an instructor pilot at Fort Wolters, TX. He left the Army in 1970. He returned to CA and attained a business degree from Sacramento State College. Ken worked for the American Lung Association (ALA) in Sacramento, CA where he organized and managed fundraising events. He then became executive director of the ALA in Superior, CA. Returning to Sacramento, Ken worked for Breathe California. Later Ken worked for the Place County Office of Education, taught parenting classes for Kaiser Hospital and served as board president of numerous non-profits. Ken was proud of finishing several ultra runs, including the Western States 100. He is survived by his wife, Leslie
