More detail on this person: CW4 (Ret.) David William Hill of Enterprise, Alabama passed away at his home on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise, Alabama, with Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity in his memory. David was born on March 13, 1937, in Rayville, Missouri, to Vester and Beulah Hill; he was one of five children. He served in the US Army for 26 years, including two tours in Vietnam; and during his distinguished career, he earned numerous medals, including the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), and the Master Army Aviator Badge, among many others. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 69 years, Wanda Hill; daughter Lynnetta Faith Hill (Michael Studdard), Newnan, GA; son Brent David Hill (Lisa), Thomasville, GA; granddaughters Taylor Studdard, Newnan, GA, and Ashlyn Hodges (Chad), Tallahassee, FL; grandson Perron Hill (Carrie), Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren Jaidyn, Harper, and Madison.
