More detail on this person: At 1640 on the 19th of January 2025 John `CRUSTY' Garrison (CW3) passed away on his mountain top home in Kettle Falls Washington. I gave him the nickname 'Crusty' when he first joined the GRIFFINS because he was older than me by a few months and I was the oldest pilot in the unit. CRUSTY was a 2-tour helicopter pilot - 2nd tour with the GRIFFINS (C/4th/77th ARA) As enlisted he had over 10 years with Special Forces- most of it in either 10th Group or 7th Group. He served as an intelligence NCO. He was very active in the Special Operations Association as well as a member of the VFW and the NRA. My wife and I moved to Northeastern Washington to be near him - for CRUSTY and I were like brothers. Our time together we talked about our times with the GRIFFINS- our time together at Fort Bragg and our time going through Jungle Expert School. For us, his loss is a heavy load. Clear skies my brother Sneaky White
