More detail on this person: William G. Cihak, DDS, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away September 18, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Knapp); loving father of William G. (Kimberly Orth) Cihak II, MD and Christopher Cihak; cherished grandfather of Kayla Cihak, Jake Cihak, Sage Cihak, Jasmine Cihak and Colby Cihak; adored great grandfather of Jaxon Rose; dearest son of the late William F. and Marjorie (nee Weaver) Cihak; dear brother of Jannine (Thomas) Piwowar and Michael "Mick" (Jodi) Cihak; also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Family were present to receive friends Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Hamburg Chapel of John J. Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc., where a Memorial Service followed. Bill served in Vietnam with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 (HMM-265). From Bill's son's coworkers: "A donation in memory of William G. Cihak, DDS, father of William G. Cihak, II, MD, has been made by the Physicians and Employees of Olean Medical Group. Sending our deepest sympathy to you and your family." From a friend: "Bill Cihak was a member of the 1974 graduating dental class at the State University of New York Dental School. He was one of the fun loving members of our class and was respected for his military service. On November 8, 2024, we will be celebrating our 50th year graduation from dental school in Buffalo, New York. I will sadly share Bill's passing with our classmates but know that he will be with us in spirit. George Quintero, DDS"
