Loving father of Kori Schmidt, Brian Bijak, Jill Bijak and Katie Bijak. Cherished grandfather of Braden, Kacie, Greta, Finn and Madison. Dear brother of Tom (Zeubie) Bijak Mary Helen (Douglas) Blankenberger and Bonnie (Bob) Norush. Joseph will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation to be held Monday, March 8th, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes - Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Mass to be held Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 724 195th St, Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Burial to be held privately at Calvary Cemetery in Steger, Illinois.
